MARKS AND BRANDS

Persons who own cattle, hogs, sheep or goats are required to register that person’s earmarks, brands, tattoos and electronic devices with the county clerk of the county in which the animals are located. [Article 144.041 Agriculture Code]

Every 10th year thereafter, persons who own livestock are required by law to re-register their brands and earmarks if they intend to continue using them.  Re-registered brands and other marks must be recorded in the County Clerk’s office between August 31, 2021 and February 29, 2022.   [Article 144.044 Agriculture Code]

Persons who wish to re-register their brands may download the Application form on this website, fill it out and bring it in person to record with the County Clerk.  The filing fee is $26.00 and $5.00 for each additional brand location if recorded at the same time. Only Cash or Cashier’s Checks are accepted.

The County Clerk will then submit the recorded brands to the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association.  [7 U.S.C. §217A]  You will be able to search/research brands on the TSCRA website: www.tscrabrands.com

Brands registered and recorded prior to August 31, 201 and not re-registered will have no force and effect and only the records made after each recording may be examined or considered in recording marks and brands in the county.

MARCAS Y MARCAS  

Las personas que poseen ganado vacuno, cerdos, ovejas o cabras están obligadas a registrar su pinta, marcas, tatuajes y dispositivos electrónicos con el Secretario del condado en que se encuentran los animales. [Artículo 144.041 código de agricultura]

Cada 10 años a partir de entonces, las personas que poseen ganado es requerido por ley para volver a Registrar sus marcas y pinta si pretenden seguir utilizándolos. Encubriéndose marcas y otras marcas deben registrarse en la Oficina del Secretario del condado entre el 31 de agosto de 2021 y el 29 de febrero de 2022.   [Artículo 144.044 código de agricultura]

Personas que deseen registrar sus marcas pueden descargar la solicitud en este sitio web, rellenar y presentarla en persona para grabar con el Secretario del condado. El costo de registro es de $26.00 y $5.00 adiciónales por cada lugar donde la marca aparezca, si es registrada al mismo tiempo. Se acepta solo dinero en efectivo o cheque cajero.

La Secretaria del Condado, a continuación, presentará las marcas registradas a la Asociación de ganadería de ganado suroeste y Tejas. [7 U.S.C. §217A] Usted podrá buscar y marcas en el sitio Web TSCRA de investigación: www.tscrabrands.com

Marcas registradas y grabadas antes de 31 de agosto de 2021 y que no se vuelven a registrar, no tendrán ninguna fuerza y efecto.  Sólo los registros después de cada grabación pueden ser examinados y usados en el condado.
