Library Expansion

The Val Verde County Library Expansion Project was first voted on during a special bond election on Nov. 5th, 2013. The bond passed with 57% of the vote, and the development stages for the project were underway immediately. After plans were made, it was determined the library would nearly double in size, including: a larger children's section with a storytime room, 3 study rooms, 2 multi-purpose rooms, a Texana/Historical room, a larger YA section, a drive-thru book drop, a larger parking lot, and much more. Construction for the new portions of the library began on July 2014, and continues to this day. Please take a look at our slideshow, and see the journey our library has been on. This slideshow will be updated as progress continues.
